The IPL 2026 mini-auction wrapped up after an intense day of bidding that saw franchises invest heavily in both proven international names and emerging Indian talent. A total of 77 players were sold as teams spent ₹215.45 crore ahead of the upcoming season, scheduled to run from March 26 to May 31.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green emerged as the headline acquisition, with Kolkata Knight Riders securing him for a record ₹25.20 crore, making him the most expensive overseas player in franchise cricket history. Chennai Super Kings also made major moves, signing uncapped Indians Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma for ₹14.20 crore each, while KKR further strengthened their squad by acquiring Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana for ₹18 crore.
